Welcome to Our History Blog

Welcome to the Irlam and Cadishead History Society’s new History Blog.

Through this blog, we’ll share fascinating stories, historical discoveries, photographs and memories from the past of Irlam and Cadishead.

We’ll explore the people, buildings, businesses, industries and events that have helped shape our two communities.

As our historical archive develops, we’ll also highlight interesting documents and research, including contributions from local historians.

We hope you’ll enjoy discovering more about our local heritage and perhaps share some memories of your own.
